A field visit to healthcare centers

The Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University, Department of Family and Community Medicine, organized a field visit on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, to the Tayba Model Health Center and the Al-Shifa Health Center for Primary Healthcare. This visit was part of the “Health and Disease in Society” curriculum and aimed to provide students with practical training on various primary healthcare programs, including the immunization program, maternal and child care, school health, nutrition, communicable and non-communicable diseases, mental health, and more.

The visit significantly enhanced the students’ practical knowledge, thanks to the active and important role played by the health center staff, fostering a spirit of collaboration that supports the educational process effectively.
