The College of Medicine at Wasit University holds an awareness campaign in conjunction with the World Breast Cancer Month
The campaign aims to raise awareness about this disease, which is one of the most common types of cancer among women, and the importance of early detection.
The main objectives of the campaign were to spread awareness about the risk factors for breast cancer, educate the community about the importance of self-examination, in addition to highlighting the importance of periodic examinations, and presenting reliable medical information and educational tools to enhance understanding about prevention and early detection methods
Early detection is one of the critical factors in the success of treatment, which increases the chances of recovery and improves the quality of life for women with it. Therefore, promoting health culture about breast cancer is a societal duty that requires concerted efforts between educational and health institutions.
