On [Tuesday], an important meeting was held between the Dean of the College of Medicine at Wasit University, Assistant Professor Dr Naseer Kazim Al-Maliki, and the heads of the branches in the framework of enhancing administrative cooperation and developing the level of performance in the various departments. During the meeting, Surat Al-Fatiha was read for the souls of the martyrs and a number of important topics were discussed, including:
- The level of academic performance: The meeting reviewed the results of the recent exams and the evaluation of students in various study programmes, and discussed ways to improve curricula and teaching methods.
- Student activities: The importance of promoting student activities and organising educational and cultural events that contribute to the development of students’ skills was emphasised.
- Scientific Research: The importance of supporting research projects and stimulating cooperation between different departments in the fields of scientific research was discussed.
- Academic development: The need to develop academic cadres through continuous training courses for faculty members was discussed.
- Current challenges: Attendees discussed the challenges facing the college, such as the availability of resources and technical needs, and ways to overcome them.
- Future planning: The future plans of the college were presented in terms of expanding study programmes and achieving more academic achievements.
At the end of the meeting, the Dean of the College emphasised the importance of teamwork and coordination between all departments to achieve the college’s goals in developing education and scientific research, and encouraged the submission of ideas and proposals to improve the academic and administrative environment.
