The Importance and Tasks of the Continuing Education Unit

Believing in the importance of continuing education beyond the undergraduate university level, and based on the regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which emphasized the necessity of establishing Continuing Education Units in all Iraqi colleges and universities, the Continuing Education Unit was established in our college. Its purpose is to develop scientific staff, keep pace with scientific advancements in the medical and educational fields, and organize conferences, seminars, and workshops aimed at exchanging expertise and exploring the latest completed scientific research.

Tasks of the Continuing Education Unit:

  • Organizing scientific and medical seminars.
  • Conducting scientific and medical workshops.
  • Hosting scientific workshops and training courses.
  • Managing and supervising training courses, including preparation, nomination, and other organizational processes.
  • Developing specialized programs for annual developmental and training courses, as well as preparing five-year or other course plans.
  • Preparing model certificates for courses to be awarded to participants in the programs, in addition to issuing administrative orders for the courses.
  • Nominating college staff for training in university faculties and other universities based on college recommendations and nominations.
