Building techniques for the work of the upper artificial limb using a mechanical map that simulates artificial intelligence and self-understanding in its results
The proposed device achieves a high embodiment of the human hand after a design that lasted for 18 continuous months so that this artificial limb is highly performing in carrying out daily vital activities
(Activities of daily living (ADL)) by adopting the mechanical map that allows it a self-understanding system that is similar to the concepts of artificial intelligence in grasping things skillfully (self) and in various shapes, even unstable objects, and guarantees the limb high flexibility, which makes it better than commercial devices and artificial limbs.
Replacing amputees with prosthetic devices with equal capabilities and effectiveness is a long-term challenge. Even the most advanced hand prosthetics with multiple degrees of freedom and control do not achieve the complexity, dexterity and ability to adapt to the human hand, unlike the prosthetic limb that was built (Acto), which has the main biomimetic properties that make this prosthetic limb uniquely similar to the human hand. Through a comprehensive design approach, the proposed device achieves a high embodiment of the human hand.

The advantages of the prosthetic limb are summarized in several matters, including
1- The strength and speed of the Acto prosthetic limb distinguish it from other commercial limbs.
2- Acto is characterized by its light weight, estimated at 470 g (total weight plus electronic materials).
3- Acto is characterized by its shape close to the human hand after following a comprehensive design approach that lasted for 18 months.
4- It is low cost in terms of the number of motors and replaces the amounts of electronic chips with the mechanical map to provide the self-understanding system for the limb (Acto).
