On the Sidelines of the Celebration of the Establishment of the Fourth British Royal College Network in Iraq

Over two days, December 12-13, a delegation from the Wasit College of Medicine participated actively in the event. The delegation was represented by the Dean, Assist. Prof. Dr. Nasir Al-Maliki, alongside Prof. Dr. Hussam Majeed, President of Wasit University and former Dean of Medicine, Assist. Prof. Dr. Saad Al-Badri, Dr. Zaid Hadi, and a distinguished group of faculty members including Dr. Rami Bahaa, Dr. Mustafa Sabeih, and Dr. Ammar Abdul-Sadah. Some of the participants also served as members of the event’s organizing committee.

The celebration was attended by Prof. Dr. Muntaaz Patel, President of the Royal College of Physicians in London, along with other esteemed faculty members, including officials from the Royal College administration and certified examiners.

The event featured several workshops covering significant topics such as quality improvement projects, medical education, enhancing the communication and management skills of recently graduated doctors, as well as various discussions. Among these was a discussion on accrediting postgraduate studies under the Iraqi Board for Medical Specializations.

At the conclusion of the event, participation certificates were distributed to attendees of the capacity-building course in medical education, which included representatives from four medical colleges across Iraq, including Wasit College of Medicine.
