The study program of the branch

Pathology and Forensic Medicine Branch

This branch is considered one of the important basic branches as it teaches pathology and forensic medicine for the third and fourth academic stages. The branch was established during the academic year 2007-2008. The branch includes two scientific divisions:

Pathology Division: This division teaches pathology and its causes, pathological histological analyses, blood diseases, clinical immunology, medical genetics, and oncology for the third and fourth stages
Forensic Medicine Division
This division teaches forensic medicine for the fourth stage and includes how to diagnose accidents and causes of death that a person is exposed to as a result of being exposed to accidents.

Branch Vision:

The branch seeks to qualify medical college students in addition to serving community institutions by holding courses and positive interaction in transferring expertise and communicating with international standards in terms of education and the ability to apply knowledge and scientific research with societal returns in a way that contributes to achieving development for our beloved Iraq

Branch Mission:

Qualifying undergraduate students by providing them with scientific and practical experiences.

Branch Objectives:

First: Deepening the relationship between the College of Medicine and the community through training courses and developing information and knowledge

Second: Developing the various skills of faculty members

Third: Viewing global experiences and knowledge in the field of medicine by sending a section of faculty members to obtain higher degrees abroad, training abroad, and attending conferences and seminars

Fourth: Keeping pace with scientific and technological developments by strengthening cultural and scientific ties with local and international universities
