Physiology and Medical Physics Branch

Branch Vision:
The vision of the department is to make medical students familiar with the basics of medical physics and physiology, which qualifies them in the future to specialize in these specialties.
Branch Mission:
Preparing competent doctors familiar with the sciences of physiology and medical physics and keeping pace with the developments taking place in international universities. As well as graduating postgraduate students for master’s and doctorate degrees in medical physiology.
Branch Objectives:
The branch aims to provide students with the expertise, knowledge and information specialized in physiology and medical physics, which includes complete knowledge of the physiological aspects and functions of the various body organs in preparation for knowing the changes that occur in these functions during illness (for second-year students) as well as everything related to the physics of the human body, which includes the various biological systems in the human body in addition to the physical foundations of various medical devices and equipment (for first-year students).
The branch offers courses and programs that qualify the student to obtain a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery, which qualifies graduates to work in the health sector and serve the community.
