The Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University organised a workshop on the occasion of International Women’s Day, which addressed the importance of empowering women and strengthening their role in society. Professor Rana Hussein Rahima gave a lecture in which she reviewed the most notable achievements of women in the scientific, medical and social fields, emphasising that education is the cornerstone of women’s empowerment and gives them the ability to participate in the development process. The workshop also highlighted the challenges women face today and offered practical insights into enhancing their ability to overcome difficulties and achieve greater success.
The workshop aimed to raise community awareness of the importance of supporting women and providing an environment that ensures equal opportunities for them in various fields.
