Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University, Assistant Professor Dr. Nasir Kazim Al-Maliki, the Faculty of Medicine/Student Activities Division (Volunteer Work Unit), in cooperation with the Maintenance Division and the Sustainable Development Unit at the faculty, organised a volunteer awareness campaign to highlight the importance of rationalising water consumption in society.
The campaign aimed to raise awareness of the importance of optimal water use and conservation by distributing awareness brochures to students and faculty members, which included practical guidelines on how to preserve this vital resource and reduce waste.
The campaign emphasised that rationalising water consumption is one of the goals of sustainable development, as it plays a fundamental role in protecting natural resources and ensuring their sustainability for future generations.
This initiative is part of the volunteer and awareness activities that the Faculty of Medicine is keen to organise in support of a culture of environmental awareness and the establishment of sustainable development concepts within the university community
