Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Nasir Kazim Al-Maliki, the College of Medicine held a training course entitled ‘The Effect of Diabetes on the Eye,’ presented by lecturer Dr. Diaa Abdulkhaliq.
The course included a detailed explanation of the effect of diabetes on the retina and the visual complications that may result from it, with an explanation of modern methods of diagnosis and treatment and ways of prevention to maintain eye health in people with diabetes.
The course aimed to raise health awareness among participants, promote medical culture in the field of eye diseases, and encourage medical staff to keep up with the latest scientific developments that contribute to reducing the complications of this disease
