Faculty of Medicine – Wasit University commemorates the martyrdom of Lady Fatima al-Zahra, peace be upon her
Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Nasir Kazim Al-Maliki, and under the supervision of his assistants, the Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University held a seminar in commemoration of the martyrdom of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra, peace be upon her, in the Dr. Sharif Hamada Hall.
The seminar was organised by the Student Activities Division in cooperation with the Media and Government Communications Division, and aimed to highlight the noble biography of Lady Fatima al-Zahra, peace be upon her, and the great religious and historical significance of this occasion.
The seminar featured an important scientific lecture by Sheikh Farhan Al-Saadi, in which he discussed the most prominent events in the life of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra, peace be upon her, and her heroic stances in support of the Islamic message, in addition to an in-depth explanation of the circumstances of her martyrdom and the historical narratives associated with those days. The lecture added an intellectual and spiritual dimension that enriched the audience and contributed to deepening their understanding of the biography of Lady Fatima, peace be upon her.
The symposium also included speeches and cultural research focusing on the significance of this blessed anniversary and the values of patience, steadfastness and sacrifice it embodies. The event concluded with a prayer that God would protect Iraq and its people and that these occasions would serve as a starting point for promoting morality and human values in the hearts of students
