As part of the role of universities in promoting community awareness and establishing the values of volunteer work, the Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University has organised several volunteer campaigns addressing various community issues that reflect people’s views on body image and how to take care of our bodies in a conscious manner. This is in addition to strengthening the university’s role in creating a supportive environment for positive mental and physical health, under the supervision and participation of a select group of professors from the faculty and other faculties.
These campaigns were carried out in collaboration with the Student Activities Division (Volunteer Work Unit and Cultural Activities Unit) and took place in the corridors and gardens of a number of university faculties, including the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Pure Sciences Education, and the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, with the active participation of third-year students.
These initiatives aimed to promote a spirit of initiative and social responsibility among students and to spread humanitarian and awareness messages that contribute to building a positive image of society and affirm the leading role of the university and its students in serving the community and creating meaningful social awareness.
