Based on the university’s role in serving the community and promoting health and psychological awareness, the Faculty of Medicine’s Volunteer Work Unit carried out a community awareness campaign with the participation of a group of faculty students, under the supervision of a select group of faculty members, in the gardens of Rayhana Family Park. The campaign targeted young people to highlight the impact of social media on self-confidence and body image.
The campaign sought to promote awareness of the importance of psychological balance, self-acceptance, and conscious engagement with digital content through direct discussions, targeted awareness materials, and positive interaction with park visitors.
This campaign emphasises the importance of continuing awareness initiatives that address the realities and psychological and social challenges faced by young people, and highlights the role of students and teachers in building a balanced social awareness based on self-acceptance and the positive and responsible use of social media
