Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University, Assistant Professor Dr. Nasir Kazim Al-Maliki, the Microbiology Branch held an event to display scientific posters for third-year students within the module on immunity and disease, in the presence of the Administrative Assistant of the Faculty of Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Salim Rahif Al-Aidi, and the Head of the Microbiology Branch, Assistant Professor Dr. Baraa Abdul Salam Harija, and all the professors of the department.
The event aimed to enhance students’ comprehensive scientific understanding of immune response mechanisms and their relationship to various causes of disease. The posters covered a variety of topics, including types of immunity, pathogenic mechanisms of bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi, methods of transmission, and the host’s immune response, in addition to methods of diagnosis, prevention and treatment
This scientific activity contributed to linking theoretical aspects with practical application and developing students’ research and scientific presentation skills, thereby enhancing their academic level and keeping pace with the requirements of modern medical education.
