Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University, Assistant Professor Dr. Nasir Kazim Al-Maliki, the Faculty of Medicine’s Student Activities Division, Volunteer Work Unit, and Cultural Activities Unit, in cooperation with the Faculty’s Registration Division, organised a volunteer awareness campaign on renewable energy.
The campaign aimed to raise awareness of the importance of renewable energy and ways to rationalise its use, and to introduce how to benefit from renewable natural resources such as solar, wind and water energy, as they are clean and sustainable alternatives that contribute to reducing dependence on oil, gas and coal, which are finite resources and cause significant environmental pollution.
The campaign included the distribution of awareness brochures to students and staff of the college.
These brochures contained guidance on the importance of switching to renewable energy and its role in protecting the environment and achieving sustainable development.
This campaign is one of a series of activities organised by the College of Medicine to promote environmental awareness and social responsibility among its students and staff.
