Under the patronage of the President of Wasit University, Prof. Abbas Lfta Al-Aqabi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Assistant Prof. Nasir Kazim Al-Maliki, the Student Activities Division at the Faculty of Medicine (Sports Activities Unit and Volunteer Work Unit) held a table tennis tournament for faculty students on Sunday, 8/ 2026.
The tournament witnessed wide participation from students of different stages, with the competitions characterised by enthusiasm and positive competition, amid a sporting atmosphere marked by cooperation and high sportsmanship, and in the presence and under the supervision of the organising staff.
The tournament was also attended by the administrative assistant of the College of Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Salim Rahif Al-Aidi, who praised the efforts made in organising such events, affirming the college’s support for student activities and encouraging students to continue participating in sporting events due to their important role in developing their abilities and promoting teamwork.
This tournament is part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, which aims to develop students’ sporting talents, encourage them to engage in physical activity, and reinforce the principles of fair competition within the university environment.
