Scientific symposium

As part of the central promotion activities at Wasit University, the Faculty of Medicine organised a scientific symposium
Wasit University/Faculty of Medicine held a scientific symposium as part of its central promotion activities, addressing three main themes aimed at raising awareness of the new instructions and mechanisms for scientific promotion and developing academic performance in line with the requirements of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The first theme included a comparison between scientific promotion instructions No. (10) for the year 2025 and instructions No. (167) for the year 2017, with a statement of the most prominent updates and amendments that contribute to regulating the promotion process.
The second theme focused on the mechanism of publication in reputable scientific journals and the importance of verifying the publisher and publisher to ensure the quality and credibility of research.
The third theme addressed the role and tasks of scientific committees, particularly with regard to determining general and specific specialisations in order to enhance the accuracy of academic evaluation.
This symposium is part of the efforts of the Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University to support the scientific progress of teachers and clarify the approved instructions, thereby contributing to raising the academic level and establishing standards of quality and scientific integrity
