The Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University has commended the efforts of sixth-year student Abbas Karim Mutashar after he succeeded in identifying a scientific error in one of the main and authoritative medical references used by students in general medicine faculties, namely Davidson’s Principles and Practice of Medicine, 24th Edition
The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University, Assistant Professor Dr Nasir Kazim al-Maliki, praised the student’s efforts, his scientific rigour and his meticulousness in reviewing authorised medical sources, emphasising that such instances reflect the outstanding academic standard of the faculty’s students and their commitment to verifying medical information and relying on accurate scientific knowledge
The Faculty Dean’s Office reaffirmed its support and encouragement for students to engage in research and scientific scrutiny, thereby contributing to fostering a spirit of scientific inquiry and raising the academic standards of students at the Faculty of Medicine, Wasit University.
