College of Medicine at Wasit University organizes an awareness campaign entitled “Drugs are an endless hell” The College of Medicine at Wasit University organized a voluntary awareness campaign entitled “Drugs are an endless hell”, with the aim of spreading awareness about the dangers of drugs and their negative effects on the individual and society.
The campaign was organized by Prof. Dr. Fatima Abdul Sharqi, head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, in addition to the unit’s liaison members: Dr. Taif Karim Khalaf, M.D. Jassim Jabara Jassim, M.D. Bassam Mahmoud Tuffah, and Duaa Mohammed Rashad.
Details of the campaign and its objectives
The campaign focused on educating students about the dangers of drugs, through awareness lectures, distribution of educational leaflets and discussion sessions on the health, social and legal consequences of drug use. It also highlighted the role of educational and societal institutions in combating this phenomenon.
This campaign comes as part of Wasit University’s efforts to promote health and social awareness among students and emphasize the role of academic institutions in combating negative phenomena that threaten society
