The practical exams for the sixth stage at the College of Medicine – University of Wasit began under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Nasir Kazim Al-Maliki, Scientific Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Insaf, and Administrative Assistant Professor Dr. Salem Rahif Al-Aidi, with the participation of 186 male and female students in internal medicine, surgery, paediatrics, and gynaecology at Al-Zahra Teaching Hospital and Al-Karama Teaching Hospital, with the active contribution of the Wasit Health Department. More than thirty teachers from our college participated in the exams. These practical exams came after the ministerial theoretical assessment exams as part of the college’s efforts to enhance the practical aspect and establish academic quality standards The exams saw the adoption of a voiceprint system to organise attendance and ensure smooth performance. The exams were conducted using the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) system and multiple short clinical cases, in addition to slides and videos of various clinical cases.
