Despite the circumstances, we stand up for what is right, we educate, and we build the land in a spirit of generosity
The Women’s Affairs Unit, in collaboration with the Voluntary Work Unit at the Faculty of Medicine, organised a voluntary tree-planting campaign entitled ‘Tree Planting: A Pillar of Communication and Participation’, with the participation and encouragement of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, the esteemed Assistant Professor Dr Nasir Kazim Al-Maliki, the esteemed Academic Assistant Professor Dr Ahmed Ibrahim Ansaf, and the esteemed Administrative Assistant Professor Dr Salim Rahif Al-Aidi, and a number of teaching staff and employees. This initiative stemmed from their commitment to promoting environmental awareness, reinforcing the values of community participation, and increasing green spaces that contribute to beautifying the environment and improving air quality within the college’s corridors
The campaign saw active participation and a remarkable response, led by Ms Amal Nahwi Naif, Mr Karim Jaber Khalaf and Ms Dalia Hamid Harij, who played a prominent role in the success of this spring initiative, which embodied the spirit of cooperation and belonging among the members of the Faculty of Medicine
This campaign serves to reaffirm that voluntary work remains a noble humanitarian mission that reflects a positive image of our educational institutions and contributes to building a better environment for future generations
