The Department of Medical Microbiology holds an extended meeting to discuss a number of academic and scientific issues
The Department of Medical Microbiology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Wasit, held an extended meeting chaired by the Head of Department, Professor Baraa Abdulsalam Harija, and attended by its teaching staff and the Administrative Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr Salim Rahif Al-Aidi, to discuss a number of academic and scientific issues.
The meeting included a discussion of mechanisms for developing the curriculum, in both its theoretical and practical aspects, to keep pace with scientific developments and contribute to enhancing students’ laboratory skills. The Department also discussed the publication of postgraduate students’ research in reputable local and international scientific journals and emphasised the implementation of the Ministry’s and the University Presidency’s directives regarding preparations to launch the for postgraduate and undergraduate students.
The Head of the Department emphasised that these steps form part of the strategic plan to raise educational and research standards and enhance the academic environment, thereby supporting the scientific output of both lecturers and students.
