Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University attends a meeting of the Council of Deans of Iraqi Medical Faculties to mark the silver jubilee of the Faculty of Medicine at Nineveh
The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University, Assistant Professor Dr Nasir Kazim Jawad al-Maliki, attended the meeting of the Council of Deans of Iraqi Faculties of Medicine, which was held on the sidelines of the celebrations marking the silver jubilee of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Nineveh and was attended by a number of deans of medical faculties at Iraqi universities
The meeting featured discussions on a number of important topics relating to the development of medical education, the strengthening of cooperation between Iraqi medical faculties, and the exchange of academic and medical expertise and experiences
The meeting addressed ways to develop curricula and examination methods, particularly the Ministry’s assessment examinations, as well as discussing effective steps towards digital transformation and the implementation of modern ministerial platforms, thereby contributing to the improvement of the quality of medical education
The participants also discussed a number of topics relating to the implementation of the new Ministry platform, SIS, the HEPIQ project, comprehensive assessment examinations, the organisation of doctors’ duties in teaching hospitals, and the mechanism for contracting graduates from the medical group and specialist teaching staff
The attendance of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University underscores the Faculty’s commitment to active participation in academic forums and to contributing to the development of medical education
