Awareness workshop

As part of Pink October activities, the College of Medicine at Wasit University held a special awareness workshop
On Thursday, 9 October 2025, the College of Medicine organised a workshop entitled ‘Breast Cancer Awareness: Treatment is the Beginning of the Journey to Confidence’ under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Nasir Kazim Al-Maliki, with the participation of lecturer Dr. Fatima Ghalib Al-Najjar. The workshop aimed to spread health awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer and to boost the self-confidence of those affected. The event was held in the Dr. Ata Kati Hall in the presence of a number of faculty members and students.
This workshop is part of the college’s awareness activities aimed at promoting a culture of health and empowering women in society.
