Under the auspices of the Office of the Prime Minister and under the supervision of the Minister of Higher Education, the Iraq First Forum was held
On Tuesday, 7 October 2025, Wasit University held the Iraq First Forum on Iraqi national security strategy under the slogan ‘Community security is a fundamental pillar of stability and development’ in the Dr. Ata Kati Hall at the College of Medicine. The forum was attended by Prof. Dr. Sabih Lfta, Vice-Chancellor for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Mohammed Shihab, Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Dean of the College of Medicine Assistant Professor Dr. Nasir Kazim Al-Maliki, Administrative Assistant of the College of Medicine Assistant Professor Dr. Salim Rahif Al-Aidi, and a number of deans of faculties and university affiliates. The forum included discussions on important topics related to national security and the role of universities in consolidating social values and promoting stability and sustainable development.
This forum reaffirms the role of academic institutions in supporting state strategies and promoting community security in Iraq.
