Ministry of Higher Education Conference

Wasit University actively participates in the Ministry of Higher Education conference with the attendance of its academic representatives
Wasit University participated in the events of the Ministry of Higher Education Conference for 2025 with high-level participation, including the President of the University, Prof. Abbas Lfta Knehir Al-Aqabi, the Scientific Assistant, Prof. Sabih Lfta, and the Dean of the College of Medicine, Assistant Prof. Nasir Kazim Jawad Al-Maliki.
The university’s participation confirmed its commitment to contributing to national discussions to promote education and scientific research and consolidate the role of university institutions in academic development.
During the conference, Wasit University highlighted its achievements and future plans in the fields of research, quality of education, and academic cooperation between universities. The university’s experiences in supporting students, developing research capabilities, and modern technologies in education were also reviewed.
Attendees also praised Wasit University’s position in the Iraqi university scene and its role in advancing scientific development, especially in the health and medical specialisations represented by the College of Medicine at Wasit University.
For his part, Prof. Abbas Lfta Al-Aqabi emphasised the importance of such conferences, which bring together those involved in academic affairs in Iraq and provide an opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss common challenges in higher education. He also stressed that Wasit University is ready to establish academic and scientific partnerships with Iraqi and international universities to achieve the best impact in society
