On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the College of Medicine at Wasit University organised an awareness campaign on global mental health, held by the Student Activities Division (Volunteer Work Unit) in collaboration with the University Psychological Counselling Division, with the aim of spreading awareness of the importance of mental health among students and the university community.
The campaign included a series of educational and awareness-raising events that addressed the concept of mental health and ways to promote it in daily life, as well as discussion sessions that explored ways of dealing with psychological and academic pressures and how to build a supportive university environment. Informative brochures and guidance letters were also distributed, which helped to reinforce positive concepts related to mental balance and personal well-being.
This initiative underscored the College of Medicine at Wasit University’s commitment to establishing a culture of mental health care and promoting the values of cooperation and solidarity on campus, which will have a positive impact on students’ lives and academic futures.
