College of Medicine at Wasit University held an awareness workshop on the occasion of World Mental Health Day
Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty, Assistant Professor Dr. Nasir Kazim Al-Maliki, and in cooperation with the University Psychological Counselling Unit, the workshop addressed various topics on the importance of mental health and its role in promoting psychological and social balance among students, and its impact on improving academic performance and the ability to cope with life’s pressures.
The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Bassam Mahmoud Tafah and Ms. Rusul Kazim Mahdi, who emphasised the need to raise awareness of the culture of psychological support within the university and to establish a supportive and encouraging study environment for mental health.
