Dr. Fatima Ghalib Al-Najjar, a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, successfully performed a qualitative surgical procedure to repair the facial nerve of a patient who was suffering from hemiplegia as a result of a skull injury, using the Smile Reanimation technique based on the temporal muscle and deep fascia to reshape the smile and restore facial muscle symmetry.
This operation is an example of the precise and advanced operations performed by young academic talents at the Faculty of Medicine.
