With the participation of eight Iraqi medical colleges, three faculty members from the College of Medicine at Wasit University participated in a three-day training course in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, which addressed developments in modern medical education.
The course was organised by the Royal College of Physicians Network Iraq (RCP Network Iraq) and supervised by medical education officials from the Royal College of Physicians. It included topics on the preparation of modern scientific curricula and ways to develop theoretical and practical tests and examinations in medical colleges.

The course was also attended by Professor Mumtaz Battal, President of the Royal College, Professor Hilal Al-Saffar, President of the Royal College Network in Iraq, Assistant Professor Naseer Kazim Al-Maliki, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University, and Professor Ahmed Ibrahim, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, in addition to their participation in the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the Royal College Network in Iraq.
The course aims to develop the capabilities and efficiency of teaching staff in Iraqi medical colleges and to enhance scientific, academic and research cooperation with the Royal College of Physicians, thereby contributing to the improvement of the quality of medical education in Iraq
