The Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University participated in the fifth anniversary conference of the Royal College of Physicians Network Iraq (RCP Network Iraq), which was held in Sulaymaniyah over two days, with the participation of the faculties of medicine in Wasit, Ramadi, Sulaymaniyah, Basra, Jabir bin Hayyan, Hawler, Al-Kafeel and Al-Amid.
The conference was attended by Professor Mumtaz Patel, President of the Royal College of Physicians, and Professor Hilal Al-Saffar, President of the Royal College Network in Iraq, along with deans and faculty members from the participating colleges.
The Faculty of Medicine – University of Wasit was represented at the conference by Assistant Professor Dr. Nasir Kazim Al-Maliki, Dean of the Faculty, and Professor Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Insaf, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, who participated in scientific seminars that addressed the achievements of the Faculty of Medicine in Wasit, , starting with obtaining full accreditation and the development of theoretical and practical training and clinical skills, as well as scientific research achievements that have contributed to raising the academic and research level of the college.
The conference included various scientific seminars on the latest research and scientific developments, the final clinical examinations of the Royal College of Physicians, and the use of artificial intelligence in medical education, with the participation of professors from the Royal College of Physicians and professors from American universities, reflecting international scientific cooperation in the development of medical education and research in Iraq.
