A delegation from the College of Medicine participated in a scientific and educational visit to Al-Farah Primary School in Wasit
The College of Medicine at Wasit University participated in an official delegation headed by Prof. Dr Abbas Lifta Al-Aqabi, President of the University, in a scientific and educational visit to Al-Farah Primary Model Mixed School with the participation of a number of teachers and students of the college.
The delegation included Dr Roaa Luay Yasser, a teacher at the Faculty of Medicine, and Dr Fatima Abdul Sharqi, head of the guidance unit at the Faculty, in addition to a number of first stage students.
The university president delivered a speech to the students, in which he stressed the importance of diligence and ambition from a young age, calling for good preparation for the exams, while praising the efforts of the school’s teaching staff. Dr Nada Nidal Najm also provided guidelines for dealing with anxiety and psychological pressure during exam periods.
On the occasion of World Hearing Health Day, Dr Roaa Louai gave an awareness lecture on healthy behaviours to preserve the sense of hearing and conducted a hearing test for 85 students from the school in addition to the teaching staff.
