The College of Medicine at Wasit University hosted the last day of the emergency course for newly graduated doctors as part of the cooperation between the Ministry of Health and academic institutions to develop medical competencies and enhance the capabilities of new doctors in dealing with emergency cases.
The course included a specialised scientific workshop on modern emergency medicine delivered by Dr. Nusrat Shaker Mohammed Al-Attar, Director of the Training Centre for Emergency Medicine Services at the Ministry of Health. The workshop focused on enhancing the skills of emergency doctors and raising their efficiency in dealing with critical cases in hospital wards. The two-week course concluded by honouring the lecturers and distributing certificates of participation to the attending doctors. The closing ceremony was attended by prominent medical figures including Dr. Khaled Abdul Abbas Al Qureshi, President of Wassit Doctors Syndicate, Dr. Saadoun Al Amir, Assistant Director General of Wassit Health Department and Dr. Dalia Hazem Abdul Aziz, Rapporteur of Wassit Doctors Syndicate.
In conclusion
The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr Naseer Kazim Al-Maliki, presented a letter of thanks and a shield of excellence to Dr Nusrat Shaker in recognition of his contribution to the success of the course. It was also agreed to hold future training courses in the field of emergency medicine targeting students of the Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University to enhance their clinical skills and provide the health system with qualified and capable cadres.
