The college of medicine at Wasit University continues to offer an elective course for fourth-year students on primary health care, which lasts for several days and includes scientific and training topics aimed at developing students’ skills and connecting them to the reality of health work.

The second and third days of the course focused on nutrition and immunisation, with lectures given by Dr. Hassanein Ali Al-Saidi, Head of the Nutrition Division in the Public Health Department at the Wasit Health Directorate, and Dr. Wasan Hamza, Head of the Immunisation Division at the Wasit Health Directorate, with the participation of senior staff in both areas.

The events were attended by the Administrative Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Salim Rahif Al-Aidi, and the Scientific Assistant, Professor Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Ansaf, who followed up on the lectures and provided the necessary support to ensure the success of this training programme.
