The Faculty of Medicine’s Student Activities Division at Wasit University organised a charity bazaar to support breast cancer patients.
Under the patronage of the President of Wasit University, Prof. Abbas Laftah Al-Aqabi, and in the presence of the Scientific Assistant, Prof. Sabih Laftah, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Assistant Prof. Nasir Kazim Al-Maliki, the Faculty of Medicine organised its distinctive charity bazaar to support breast cancer patients, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Thaer Al-Ghasham, and a group of professors, students and affiliates.
The bazaar included various corners where students displayed their handicrafts, artwork, and food, with the proceeds going to support breast cancer patients, in a humanitarian initiative aimed at promoting social solidarity and instilling the values of giving and volunteering among students. The event also witnessed an atmosphere of cooperation and community participation that reflected the humanitarian awareness of the college students and their mission to serve the community.
At the end of the event, attendees praised the great efforts made by the organisers of this charitable activity, emphasising that such initiatives represent a practical translation of Wasit University’s mission to spread a culture of humanity and support those in need, under the slogan ‘A small amount makes a big difference’.
