Reception of first-year students

The Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University welcomes first-year students for the new academic year
The Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University welcomed its new first-year students for the academic year (2025-2026) in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and optimism, in the hall of Professor Dr. Ata Kati.
The students were welcomed by the Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Salim Rahif Al-Aydi, Professor Dr. Safaa Abdallah, Head of the Paediatrics Department, and a number of faculty members.
In his welcoming speech, Dr. Salim Al-Aidi congratulated the new students on joining the Faculty of Medicine family, praising their efforts in achieving this accomplishment and emphasising the importance of commitment and discipline in medical studies due to their noble humanitarian mission and great professional responsibility.
Dr. Safaa Abdullah also welcomed the students, wishing them excellence and success in their academic careers, and encouraging them to benefit from the expertise of their professors and to strive continuously for excellence in the medical profession.
The meeting concluded with an introductory tour of the college’s corridors and laboratories to familiarise the students with the educational and practical training environment provided by the college.
