🔹 The Faculty of Medicine organises an awareness workshop entitled:
‘Silent reflux… a silent disease: how to detect it and how to protect ourselves with healthy daily habits’
Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University, Assistant Professor Dr. Nasir Kazim Jawad Al-Maliki, the Psychological Counselling Unit and the Volunteer Work Unit at the faculty organised an important awareness workshop entitled “Silent Reflux… A Silent Disease: How to detect it and how to protect ourselves with healthy daily habits,” at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinical Skills Teaching Hall (Medical Night Teaching).
The workshop was presented by
Dr. Ruwa Luai
and included a detailed explanation of the nature of silent reflux disease and its most prominent symptoms, which may go unnoticed, in addition to clarifying the proper methods for early detection. The workshop also focused on a set of daily healthy habits that contribute to the prevention and reduction of the disease, providing practical guidance to students and participants on ways to improve their lifestyle.
The lectures emphasised the importance of raising health awareness among students and teachers and promoting a culture of prevention as one of the most effective ways to protect the digestive system and throat from long-term complications.
