Microscopic Biology Branch Science Day promotes health awareness
The Faculty of Medicine held a Science Day for the Medical Microscopic Biology Branch, in collaboration with the Public Health Department/Immune Deficiency Virus Control Unit, as part of the Pioneer Week activities, with wide participation from students, faculty members and researchers.
The programme included a variety of scientific and community activities, including laboratory tests for HIV and other blood tests, as well as the distribution of educational materials and awareness brochures aimed at promoting health awareness and spreading a culture of prevention among students and the university community. The Science Day also included a charity bazaar that reflected the spirit of initiative and volunteerism and contributed to supporting the development of the community environment and strengthening cooperation and academic relations between students, researchers and faculty members. The events included lectures and scientific seminars focusing on health, social and environmental awareness, in line with the goals of sustainable development and contributing to building a healthy and conscious society based on innovation and social responsibility.
The organisation of this scientific day confirms the role of the academic institution in serving the community and strengthening the partnership between educational, research and applied aspects, thereby supporting sustainable development paths and promoting a culture of creativity and scientific excellence.
