Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University visits a care home in Al-Kut to assess the health and welfare needs of the elderly
As part of efforts to promote social responsibility and reinforce the values of human solidarity, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Wasit University, Assistant Professor Dr Nasir Kazim al-Maliki, accompanied by a number of faculty members and staff, paid a visit to the care home in the city of Al-Kut, accompanied by medical staff from the Faculty of Dentistry, to assess the health and welfare of the residents.
During the visit, the delegation assessed the most pressing health and emotional needs of the elderly residents, emphasising the importance of providing comprehensive care for this esteemed group, who represent significant social and humanitarian value. They also listened to the residents’ needs and closely monitored their health conditions, thereby helping to improve the standard of care provided to them.
The Dean of the Faculty praised the sincere efforts made by the staff of the care home in looking after the elderly, commending their dedication to fulfilling their humanitarian duty and their continuous service to this blessed group, and affirming the Faculty of Medicine’s continued support for community and humanitarian initiatives that promote the values of compassion, solidarity and community service.
