Workshop on Green Circular Economy

The College of Medicine at Wasit University holds a workshop on the green circular economy under the patronage of the President of Wasit University, under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, the College of Medicine organised a workshop entitled “Green Circular Economy in Iraq: New Horizons Towards Environmental and Economic Sustainability”.

The workshop was delivered by Drs. Karim Jaber Khalaf, M.Sc. Amal Nahiwi Nayef, and M.Sc. Bassem Mohammed Abdullah discussed the concepts of the circular economy and its importance in achieving sustainable development in Iraq, as well as environmental challenges and future economic opportunities.

The workshop witnessed an active attendance of the college’s faculty and students, amid interaction and discussions that enriched the themes of the workshop, and the importance of adopting this economic model in future policies was emphasised at the end of the workshop.
